Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, (presently Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to be awarded a perfect score of 10 points in an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi was a Romanian gymnastics teacher who later became the coach for Comaneci and first became aware of Comaneci when she was just six years old. The first time she competed was at The National Junior Championships in where she placed 13th in 1969. In 1970, Comaneci was crowned champion. Three gold medals were awarded in her first competition in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972 for communist bloc countries. In 1973 and 1974, she became the junior champion in all-round competitions. When she competed for the first time in senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva, a Russian athlete, won five gold medals, as well being awarded a silver. In 1976, she was the first female athlete in the world to utilize a reversed double salto to dismount from parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen, Carol Wayne began working in the entertainment business as a performer as a figure skater. With her sister Nina Wayne she was part of a traveling show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer in her teens. At the age of a girl she was the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Ice Capades featured performances of ice-skating by actors.
