Ashley Madekwe (born 6 December 1981) is an English actor from the UK. Her most well-known roles include parts as a call-girl Bambi on the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl and as social climber Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama series Revenge and the witch Tituba on The WGN America series Salem.Madekwe was born in South London, England into a mixed family. Her mother is English and her father is Nigerian. She was born and raised on a council estate located south of London. In the ages of fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. She pursued acting studies at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. While attending the school, she appeared in numerous stage productions, such as King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
